OVERVIEW
This 2-day course offers learners deep insights into optimizing sales channel strategies, focusing on the IT industry.
Structured into three Learning Units (LUs), the course equips professionals with advanced skills in channel management, performance analysis, and strategic partnership development.

LU1 : IT Channel Sales Management and Strategy lays the groundwork with channel management strategy fundamentals, emphasizing market analysis, partner selection, and sales optimization techniques. Participants will learn to align channel strategies with organizational goals and navigate risk management.

LU2 : Sales Channel Performance Management and Growth dives into determining KPIs, analyzing sales channel performance, and formulating strategic alliances for growth. This unit focuses on leveraging performance data for strategy revision and building partnerships for expansion.

LU3 : Sales Channel Management Framework and Organisational Strategy for Channel Partners teaches establishing a comprehensive framework for managing diverse sales channels and partners. It covers integrating sales channels into business strategies, developing partner engagement and recruitment strategies, and planning for scalability. This course prepares professionals to manage sales channels effectively, leverage strategic partnerships, and make data-driven decisions for business growth.

This course is targeted at Sales Directors, Channel Strategy Managers, Senior Sales Executives, Business Development Directors, and Sales Operations Managers, including other professionals looking to transition into a career in one of these roles.
PRE-REQUISITES
The entry requirements are:

At least one month work experience in a sales capacity

Speak, write, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than the Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 6, and at a Workplace Numeracy Level 5

Prioritise critical features and considerations in developing a channel management strategy to optimise sales
Construct a channel sales strategy for IT products and services using critical features and considerations for an organisation
Formulate a strategy to optimise sales through e-commerce and online channels by assessing the pros, cons, and organisational applicability of e-commerce sales channels
Devise key performance indicators (KPIs) appropriate for a variety of different channels and channel partners
Develop a plan to expand critical strategic alliances and partnerships for an organisation and incorporate new channels to grow its market reach
Create a sales channel management framework for an organisation based on an appropriate sales channel management strategy to manage networks of online channels, alliances, partners, and distributors
Construct a strategy to engage and recruit channel partners for an organisation using its sales channel management framework

About The Instructor
Marc is a dynamic professional renowned for his expertise in the energy industry and his passion for leadership development and sales excellence. Born and raised in Singapore, Marc pursued chemical engineering and earned a Bachelor's degree with Second Upper Honors from the National University of Singapore in 2000 and obtained a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Nottingham in 2006.
Throughout his illustrious 22-year career at ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, a leader in the energy industry, Marc demonstrated exceptional leadership and managerial abilities. Notably, as the General Manager of Sales, Business Development, and Training, Marc oversaw a vast network of distributors spanning 13 countries across the Asia Pacific region. His strategic vision and coaching prowess empowered over 200 channel partners with the skills and tools needed to thrive in competitive markets.
Marc's dedication to excellence extended to actively engaging in learning and training initiatives. As a certified Train-the-Trainer, he delivered impactful instructor-led classroom and virtual training sessions on soft skills, sales techniques, and sales process methodologies to field sales leaders and managers. As Business Planning and Analysis Manager and a core member of the South Asia Pacific leadership team, he led business analysts in annual planning and budgeting activities and coached them to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting for senior management.
In recognition of his exemplary performance and leadership, Marc was honoured with the prestigious President's Excellence Award in 2020. In 2022, he became Director at En-Gen Int'l Pte Ltd where he spearheaded several transformative initiatives, including the successful launch of an eCommerce platform and the implementation of digital marketing strategies that resulted in a remarkable 50% increase in revenue.
Outside of his professional endeavours, Marc volunteers as a life-skills trainer in primary, secondary, and high schools, inspiring the next generation of children and youths to reach their full potential.
